How to hide/show disk drives using cmd?

Hey guys welcome to my blog post. Today I am gonna tell you how to hide disk drives using command prompt. It is really a very good trick when you wanna hide some of your personal data or details from other’s access. Or when your are gonna give your pc for repair then you can put all your personal data and details in one or multiple drives and hide them. But I will recommend you not to try this trick on C drive as it contain all the installed programs and even the window is installed in it. If you hide it, you may lose all your installed applications and even the window. This trick actually do not hide the drive but removes them temporarily. Follow these steps to hide your drives:-

1. In the start menu search for Command Prompt or you can simply press + s buttons to open the search bar.
2. Right click on the command prompt in the search results and select Run as Administrator.
3. Now in the command prompt type diskpart and hit enter.
4. Then type list volume and again hit enter.
5. Then it will show you a list of all the volumes on your pc.
6. Suppose we wanna hide volume 4 then type select volume 4 and hit enter.
7. It will show Volume 4 is the selected volume.
8. Suppose volume 4 is E drive.
9. Then type remove letter E and press enter.
10. You can go to my computer and see that you have successfully hidden the drive.

Now when you have successfully hidden your drive, let’s have a look at how to again show the drive. Follow the first 5 steps as it is from the above list. Then follow the following steps:-

1. Type select volume 4 and hit enter.
2. Then type assign letter E and again hit enter.
3. And there you go you have successfully unhidden the drive.
